摘要 The present invention relates to a device and a method for generating a peripheral image of an underwater robot. The device for generating a peripheral image of an underwater robot comprises a sonar sensor which is mounted at an underwater robot to receive acoustic waves, to analyze response acoustic waves of the received acoustic waves, and to detect three dimensional location information on an area being measured; a plurality of image photographing devices which are mounted at the underwater robot to acquire image data on different areas including at least a portion of the area being measured; and a data processing device which is installed at at least one side of the underwater robot and a bus line connected to each other via a communication cable and matches the image data acquired by the image photographing devices with the three dimensional location information detected by the sonar sensor to generate three dimensional image information.
