METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING DATA QUALITY-OF-SERVICE

A method and a device for controlling data quality-of-service are disclosed. The method comprises: determining that there is congestion in a cell where user equipment is located; determining the maximum aggregate bit rate used by the user equipment in congested conditions; and controlling, on the basis of the maximum aggregate bit rate used by the user equipment in congested conditions, the upper limit of the uplink/downlink bandwidth for data having a non-guaranteed bit rate. In embodiments of the method and device for controlling data quality-of-service, when there is congestion in a cell where user equipment is located, the upper limit of the uplink/downlink bandwidth for data having a non-guaranteed bit rate is controlled on the basis of the maximum aggregate bit rate used by the user equipment in congested conditions. The present invention thereby effectively controls the quality-of-service of service data and performs differentiated management on bandwidth, and can thus enhance network resource utilization rates, ease network congestion, and improve the user experience.
