PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage structure and a storage method for safely storing waste such as various radio-active debris soiled by highly radio-active substance sealed over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A storage structure for radio-active waste is composed of a concrete body 2 opened at top and a concrete lid body 3 capable of fitting so that the opened top unit of the body 2 is covered. The body 2 includes leg units in four corners of a bottom unit as well as space 25 into which a fork of a fork lift is capable of being inserted in between the leg units 24, 24 which are adjacent. The lid body 3 includes a concave unit 32 opened at top on the top surface and by fixing a plate material 33 going across the concave unit 32 covering it, space 32 is formed below into which the fork of the fork lift is capable of being inserted and are capable of being arranged in a prescribed position on the fork lift in any of the body 2, the lid body 3 or the fitted state of the body and the lid body (2+3). |
