A virtual experience system includes a virtual experience place, a camera, a camera server, a portable terminal, a wireless relay, and a display unit. The virtual experience place has an inner space and includes a plurality of markers. The camera obtains the whole image of the virtual experience place. The camera server derives position information of a marker from the whole image transmitted from the camera and extracts an image identifier corresponding to the marker from a database. The wireless relay transmits the image identifier and the position information to an external game serer by receiving them from the camera server and receives an image identifier and position information of another marker obtained from another virtual experience place from the external game server. The portable terminal applies the image identifier and position information of the marker and the other image identifier and position information to a virtual experience map by receiving them from the wireless relay. The display unit displays the map by receiving it from the portable terminal.
