The present invention relates to a locking device for a sliding window. The locking device for a sliding window according to the present invention is provided to be rotated by driving power transmitted from a spindle of a handle by being disposed in a vertical groove part of a window frame and to be selectively locked or unlocked by being interlocked with an automatic handle and a striker, wherein the automatic handle has an elastic member built therein, which supports the spindle on a locking position, and is disposed on a window frame; and the striker is disposed on a vertical rail of the window frame. The locking device for a sliding window comprises: a rotatory body having an insertion hole in which the spindle is inserted in the center thereof; a fixed hook connected rotatably through a hinge shaft on one side of the rotatory body by having a fixed protrusion, and which is interlocked with the striker formed on the end thereof; and an elastic material for elastically supporting the fixed hook in a locked direction by being interposed between the rotatory body and the fixed hook. |
