PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input/output device and an information input/output method that are capable of detecting a user 's facial expression while suppressing an increase in the size of the device itself.SOLUTION: An information input/output device comprises: an imaging unit that captures an area including at least one eye of a user; and a facial expression processing unit that determines the user's facial expression on the basis of an image of the area including one eye of the user included in a captured image obtained through capturing by the imaging unit.
