PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdering device suited for higher printing speeds and a method for operating the powdering device.SOLUTION: A powdering device for a printing press includes a metering roller 5 and a manifold 7. A plurality of injectors 11 are provided downstream of the manifold 7 in a powder conveying direction. The powdering device 2 is operable in accordance with a method in which a total powder stream is subdivided into partial powder streams, which are subsequently separately mixed with compressed air to create powder/air streams.
