PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system with improved detection accuracy by an image sensor.SOLUTION: The illumination system includes: plural lighting fixtures 2 each having a light source 21 and a first control part 22 that controls the output of light from the light source 21; a sensor part 1 that has an image sensor 11 for taking an image of a predetermined area and a second control part 12 that detects existence/absence of a person in the image taken by the image sensor 11 to determine the dimming ratio of the light source 21 according to the detection result. When a state that no person is detected in the image taken by the image sensor 11 continues for a predetermined time, the second control part 12 controls the dimming ratio of the light source 21 by a specific value and to raise the sensitivity of the image sensor 11 for a specific period of time. With this, the illumination system notifies a user that the image sensor 11 detects nothing, while the detection accuracy of the image sensor 11 is increased so as to detect a fine movement of a person. |
