PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which enhances dry feeling by improvement of an effect of spreading a liquid and a reduced amount of liquid return in an excretion region.SOLUTION: An absorber 4A in an embodiment of this invention includes a water absorptive polymer 41 and a hydrophilic fiber 42. The absorber 4A has a first region 4F in which a weight ratio of the water absorptive polymer 41 to the hydrophilic fiber 42 is 1 or more and a second region 4S which is disposed on a skin-facing surface side or a non-skin-facing surface side of the first region 4F and contains the water absorptive polymer 41 and the hydrophilic fiber 42 with respective contents being greater than respective contents of the first region 4F, and the first region 4F and the second region 4S are continuously arranged in a thickness direction T. The absorber 4A has a recess 44 formed to penetrate the second region 4S in the thickness direction T in a state after a lapse of 5 minutes from the supply of a sodium chloride aqueous solution with 0.9 wt% at a rate of 2,000 g/m. |
