PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide pin insertion assisting tool capable of not only easily obtaining the proper insertion point and insertion angle before inserting a guide pin to the inside of a bone and easily inserting the guide pin at the proper position and angle inside the bone but also substantially reducing burdens on a patient. SOLUTION: The guide pin insertion assisting tool for inserting the guide pin to the inside of a bone includes a body part provided so as to be rotationally moved between a proper position disposed at the proper angle and the proper position and an improper position off the proper position in a rotating direction centering on an axis extending at the proper angle. The body part includes a non-transmission part for not transmitting X-rays. For the non-transmission part, a first width dimension extending in a direction crossing the axial direction when the body part is disposed at the improper position is larger than a second width dimension extending in the direction crossing the axial direction when the body part is disposed at the proper position.
