摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with excellent light extraction efficiency, without the need to separately form a light extraction layer and having a transparent electrode being simple in a deposition process and advantageous in cost.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element comprises: a laminate in which a transparent substrate 1, a first transparent electrode 2, an organic light emitting layer 3 and a second transparent electrode 4 are formed in this order; and a reflector 5 which is provided on a side of the second transparent electrode 4 with respect to the transparent substrate 1 in the laminate, with a gap between the laminate and itself, and reflects light generated in the organic light emitting layer 3. The first transparent electrode 2 is a transparent conductive layer containing at least one type of transparent particles with a primary particle size of 0.5 μm or more, and a surface of the reflector 5 at the laminate side, has one point or line in which a distance between the reflector 5 and the laminate is the shortest, and has a shape in which the distance between the reflector and the laminate monotonously increases as it goes away from the point or line. The reflector covers the whole organic light emitting layer 3 in a planar view in a lamination direction of the laminate.
