The purpose of the present invention is to generate a transaction signal if a terminal communicates with an external device, store the signal in a system region or a USIM region inaccessible by an application, and generate and display a guidance message corresponding to the transaction if a transaction signal exists. To this end, provided is a terminal for displaying a function according to a transaction, comprising: a communication unit for performing a transaction with an external device; a controller unit for deciding a type of the transaction and generating a transaction signal according to a function performed through the transaction; a transaction signal storage unit in which the transaction signal is stored; a control unit for searching the transaction signal by accessing the transaction signal storage unit and generating a guidance message for the function performed through the transaction; and a display unit for displaying the guidance message.
