PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolver or a multi-rotation detector capable of accurately performing absolute position detection by avoiding the magnetic interference of an external magnetic field and a rotation detection section.SOLUTION: A stator 65 includes: a core formed by laminating electromagnetic steel sheets; and an excitation coil and a detection coil wound around pole teeth disposed in the core. The core includes: a peripheral section arranged to surround a rotor 32; and a U-shaped detecting section disposed inside the peripheral section with both side portions formed as pole teeth 1a and 1b making a pair constituting one phase. Each of the electromagnetic steel plates constituting the core includes: a section as a peripheral section and a section as a detecting section when they are laminated. The detecting section is connected to the peripheral section at the bottom portion of the U-shape, and formed with intervals 1c and 1d between itself and the peripheral section at the portion corresponding to the bottom of the pole teeth of the bottom portion. |
