PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output received data with low delay, while absorbing the fluctuation.SOLUTION: The data receiver includes receiving means for receiving media encoded data externally, decoding means for decoding the media encoded data received by the receiving means, storage means for temporarily storing the media data decoded by the decoding means, and output means, which is synchronized with a display clock, for reading the media data, in units of frame, from the storage means and outputting the media data, measuring the duration where one frame or more of the media data remains in the storage means at a moment in time when the media data outputted to the outside is read from the storage means, and reading one frame of the media data remaining in the storage means when the duration thus measured reaches a predetermined length, and then discarding the media data. |
