The invention relates to apparatus 1 for treating a fluid such as sewage in situ, comprising a housing 2 which is transportable, there being one or more modules 2a, 2b, 2c in the housing for carrying out one or a sequence of treatment operations on the sewage. There is an inlet 3 whereby the apparatus is connectible with a source of sewage to be treated and an outlet 4 from the apparatus for passage therefrom of sewage treated therein. The apparatus may be mounted on or incorporated in a vehicle for movement between different sites. |
