PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve practicability of a vehicular brake system as a type of depending on force source power.SOLUTION: The vehicular brake system includes a force source device (for example, a high pressure source device supplying high pressure hydraulic fluid) which generates a force other than a brake control force of an operator applied to a brake operation member. At normal time, brake force generated in a brake control system arranged on a wheel is dependent on the force source power as power generated by the force source device. When shifting from a normal mode to a failure time mode because of occurrence of a failure during a brake operation, the brake force G, which has intermediate magnitude between the brake force Ggenerated in the normal mode and the brake force Ggenerated in the failure time mode, is generated. Therefore, sudden change of the brake force generated because of occurrence of the failure is suppressed or alleviated, and thereby the vehicular brake system is excellent in generation of stable brake force and good operational feeling of brake. |
