PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring device that is capable of suitably supporting maintaining of air pressure of a tire under proper air pressure. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure monitoring device 1 is provided in a vehicle 100 having four tires 101, calculates a decompression determining value for determining reduction in the air pressure of the tires 101 based on rotation angular velocity of the tires 101 corrected by a correction factor for eliminating a rotation angular velocity difference between the tires 101 when the air pressure is the proper air pressure, and generates a warning when determining that the air pressure of at least one tire 101 reduces by exceeding a preset allowable range by the decompression determining value. The tire air pressure monitoring device 1 is characterized in that if an initializing signal is output from an initializing switch 4a, when determining that the air pressure of the whole tires 101 is the proper air pressure by the decompression determining value, the warning is stopped, and the correction factor is reset.
