A light guide plate and a backlight unit are provided to reduce manufacturing costs/manufacturing processes and reduce a volume of the backlight unit. The first layer(105) uniformly distributes light received from the outside. The second layer(110) is arranged on one surface of the first layer. The second layer comprises a wire grid polarizer where a reflection unit(110b) is deposited in a side of a grating(110a) protruded at every predetermined distance. A light source(140) emits light. Light of an S wave reflected from the reflection unit is reflected again by a reflection plate(150) located in a rear surface of a light guide plate(100). |
