PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel heat-sensitive decolorable water-based ink composition for a writing instrument that can compose a white color and a pastel color even an ink in which irreversible elimination can be performed by heating and calligraphy written to a black color sheet is visible; and writing instruments including the same.SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive decolorable water-based ink composition for a writing instrument includes a mixture of a fatty acid glycol ester and a fatty acid alkylolamide as a color agent.
