PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence of variation among target cell analytes, imaging conditions, or the like.SOLUTION: An image processing device 10 acquires images obtained by taking samples including target cells having nuclei, and extracts the pixels as the candidates of the nuclei from the pixels included in the taken pixels based on the first conditions predecided regarding at least either color or luminance which should be possessed by the pixels to be the candidates, and connected pixel groups to be the candidates of the target cells are further extracted based on the second conditions predecided regarding dimensions and shapes which should be possessed by the connected pixel groups to be the candidates from the connected pixel groups obtained by respectively connecting adjacent pixels as for the extracted pixels. Rectangular regions having given dimensions with the pixels included in the extracted connected image groups as the center are set as the taken images, and whether the target cells are included in the rectangular regions or not is decided based on the fact that the image characteristic quantity obtained from the set rectangular regions satisfies the conditions of the image characteristic quantity mechanically learnt based on the preparation images in the positive example and the negative example of the target cells. |
