<p>The device (V) has a spring sheet (1) designed as a part of a circulating base element (3). A seat depth adjustment unit includes a support plate, which is displaceable relative to a base plate by a guide. Another spring sheet (2) is arranged at a right angle to the former spring sheet. A base element (3) is inserted in the guide of the seat depth adjustment unit. The base element includes a loss protection unit (4) with a flexible ramp (5.1), which is provided at a crossing (6.1) of the former spring sheet to the base element. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a seat depth adjustment unit.</p>
