The present invention relates to a device and method for inspecting an electrophoretic display device, wherein an operation inspection part detecting a screen error on the electrophoretic display device; an output short inspection part detecting a gate output channel of the electrophoretic display device or an output short defective occured from a source output channel; a short defective detection part detecting an electrostatic short defective of common voltage wiring and ESD wiring on the electrophoretic display device.
