PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet curable silicone resin composition which is small in shrinkage on curing and can exhibit excellent curability by ultraviolet irradiation.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet curable silicone resin composition comprises (A) a polyorganosiloxane containing mercaptoalkyl groups each bonded to a silicon atom and having a viscosity of 5-10,000 cP at 23°C, (B) a polyorganosiloxane containing (meth)acryloxy groups, and (C) a photoinitiator, wherein, a ratio of the number of (meth)acryloxy groups in the (B) to the number of mercaptoalkyl groups in the (A) is 0.1-2. A sealant for an image display device comprises the composition. An image display device uses the sealant for an image display device to seal an image display part and a protection part. |
