PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing fence capable of effectively absorbing large impact force. SOLUTION: A plural number of supports 2, 2 are provided with specified intervals between them, horizontal rope materials 3 are provided between the supports 2, 2 and a net body 9 is put up between the supports 2, 2 to cover all of them. A loop part 5 is formed on each of the horizontal rope materials 3, and a cushioning material 8 having elasticity is arranged in the inside of this loop part 5. Consequently, when impact force by a falling rock, etc., is applied, tensile force works on the horizontal rope materials 3, the loop parts 5 are contracted by this tensile force, the cushioning material 8 in the loop 5 causes elastic deformation and plastic deformation, and consequently, it is possible to effectively absorb impact force energy.
