METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPTIMIZING POST LINK CODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for optimizing a post link code. SOLUTION: The code optimizing method includes a step for decomposing a compiled and linked object code and a step for identifying a function including a storing instruction and a restoring instruction related to a register. The decomposed code is analyzed and an access followed by an instruction for killing the register is detected. When the function is accessed by the detected access, the code is changed so that the storing instruction is deleted from the function.
