A haptic display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a plurality of scan lines (121) disposed over a substrate (100) and a plurality of data lines (171) electrically insulated from and crossing the scan lines (121). The device also includes a plurality of haptic control lines (410, 420, 430, 440) electrically insulated from the scan lines (121) or the data lines (171).
