<p>The present invention relates to a radio altimeter and is characterized in the a path extension unit is interposed and mounted on a transmission path or a reception path of a signal in the radio altimeter, wherein the path extension unit comprises: an electro/optic (E/O) converter for converting an RF signal into an optical signal; an optic cable to be interposed on a path at a set length for extending an optical path; and an opto/electrical (O/E) converter for converting the optical signal to be outputted from the optic cable into the RF signal again. According to the present invention, by providing a sufficient path extension length through an optic cable, a pulse width limitation or a frequency band limitation of parts can be overcome, and a wide measurement range from a short distance to a middle or long distance can be effectively provided even though a radio altimeter of a certain method is used regardless of a measuring method, thereby improving the versatility of measuring equipment.</p> |
