PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel image display system, puzzle game system, image display method, puzzle game method, image display device, puzzle game device, image display program and puzzle game program that provide stereoscopic display using plural images.SOLUTION: An image display system includes: background setting means for setting two-dimensional stereo images for stereoscopic vision as a background; reference plane setting means for setting a reference plane in a virtual space in association with a predetermined plane in the two-dimensional stereo images that appears to exist in a pseudo manner when the two-dimensional stereo images are displayed stereoscopically; object arrangement means for arranging at least one object on the reference plane; stereoscopic image generation means for generating images for stereoscopic vision on the basis of stereo images generated by imaging the object with stereo virtual cameras in the virtual space and the two-dimensional stereo images; and display control means for displaying the images for stereoscopic vision on a display unit.
