The technique for the resection of rectum comprises inferior median laparotomy, the mobilization of the sigmoid colon with the cut of lateral and medial peritoneal leaves to the anterior semicircle of rectum, the cut and the ligation of the inferior mesenteric artery and vein, and the mobilization of rectum with the aid of EK-300M1 apparatus by compressing the mass of tissues between the branches of the clamp and electric welding. Following the access to retrorectal space, the connective bands between the fasciae of rectum and sacrum are dissected. In parallel with the mobilization of the posterior wall of rectum, its lateral circles are partially mobilized followed by the mobilization of the anterior semicircle. With this aim, the proper fascia of rectum and lateral ligaments are cut, rectum is fixed to the pelvic walls, and the medial arteries inside are closed by welding. |
