The present invention relates to a double conversion uninterruptible power supply which eliminates a battery discharger. The double conversion uninterruptible power supply supplies energy to a load through a rectifier (100) and an inverter (200) while charging a battery (B) through a charger (300) when a battery charger input is a direct current terminal. The double conversion uninterruptible power supply is automatically switched to a battery mode and the rectifier operates as a DC/DC converter and boosts the voltage of the battery (B) into regular direct voltage and supplies stable power to the load through the inverter (200) if input voltage is irregular or power is knocked out. The double conversion uninterruptible power supply supplies the energy to the load through the rectifier (100) and the inverter (200) while charging the battery (B) through the charger (300) if the battery charger input is an alternating current terminal. The double conversion uninterruptible power supply is automatically switched to the battery mode and the rectifier operates as the DC/DC converter and boosts the voltage of the battery (B) into the regular direct voltage and supplies stable power to the load through the inverter (200) if input voltage is irregular or power is knocked out. According to the present invention as listed above, the double conversion uninterruptible power supply controls so that the rectifier formed of a normal rectifier or an interleave mode performs not only a PFC (Power Factor Corrector) function but also a discharger function without a separate battery discharge, thereby minimizing board size and reducing costs for component purchase corresponding to the battery discharger.
