The device i.e. pliers (1), has a recess provided with clips that are supported by attractive force of a magnet i.e. permanent magnet or electromagnet. A movable retaining tab (9) is arranged to engage an inserted terminal in a receiving unit for clamping the terminal into the recess (10) and suitable for sliding of the receiving unit on the clips. The magnet is adjustable executed by an adjustment unit. Stop elements (5, 11) determine a placement position of the clips. A screw thread rod (4) is provided together with a stop for confinement of approximation of manipulator levers.
