A heat sink for an LED lamp comprises an LED light source (1), a heat-conducting plate (2) and a heat-dissipating body (3), both fixedly installed below the light source (1). An air-inlet hole (31) is provided in the centre of the heat-dissipating body (3), a plurality of swirling air passages (32) are distributed in a spiral diffusion pattern leading from the air-inlet hole (31) to the outer periphery, said swirling air passages proceeding from the central air-inlet hole (31) and terminating at outlets (33) provided on the side wall of the heat-dissipating body, the width of the air passages gradually increasing from the starting end to the terminal end. The heat-conducting plate (2) fixedly installed on the heat-dissipating body (3) is provided on its one side with the swirling air passages. The present heat sink facilitates the formation of an air flow, the entry of cold air from the centre favouring the dissipation of heat from the centre, and makes possible a more compact LED lamp structure with improved heat-dissipation effects applicable to LED lamps of various power levels. |
