The invention relates to a lighting element having an elongate side-emitting light conductor (10) and a light-conducting body (2), wherein the elongate, side-emitting light conductor (10) has at least one end face for coupling luminous radiation in and, in the operating state, couples luminous radiation out over at least a portion of the length thereof, wherein the light-conducting body (2) has a surface having an elongate recess (7) for receiving the side-emitting light conductor (10), and having at least one output coupling region (16) for coupling light out of the light-conducting body (2), and wherein at least some sections of the side-emitting light conductor (10) run in the elongate recess (7), so that the luminous radiation emerging from the side-emitting light conductor (10) in the operating state is at least partly coupled into the light-conducting body (2) by the inner surface (8) of the elongate recess (7). |
