PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment for a chronic progressive heart failure.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for treating or preventing heart failure in a subject, which includes a step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of poloxamers (for instance, poloxamer 188) to a subject requiring it. The poloxamers (for instance, P-188) is known to improve cardiac hemodynamics in the heart failure caused by MI, which is based on a discovery that an interaction happens between the poloxamers and a damaged portion of cell membrane uncovering a hydrophobic region to recover an integrity of the cell membrane. |
