PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key registration system which enables easy registration while maintaining security.SOLUTION: An electronic key registration system includes an on-line additional registration step where, when an electronic key 2 is registered in an immobilizer ECU 6 in an on-line environment, a vehicle ID code and a SEED code that is read from the electronic key 2 are sent to a data center 10, a key cryptographic key is generated from the SEED code by first generation logic, a SEED code is generated from the generated key cryptographic key and the vehicle ID code by second generation logic, the immobilizer ECU 6 obtains the generated SEED code from the data center 10, a key cryptographic key is generated from the vehicle code and the obtained SEED code by second generation logic, and the generated key cryptographic key is stored in the immobilizer ECU 6. |
