A method for connecting a wireless channel capable of improving the access rate and reducing power consumption is disclosed. A method for connecting a wireless channel of a terminal includes: a step for generating a random value for connecting a wireless channel; a step for receiving a competition index indicating a channel competition status from an access point; and a step for determining whether to try connecting a wireless channel based on a result of comparison of the random value and the competition index. Thus, the wireless channel connection competition is lessened, the wireless channel connection rate is improved, and the power consumption of a terminal can be reduced.
