The invention relates to a device for powering the supply pump (2) of a rocket engine of a spacecraft, characterised in that it comprises an inertia wheel (1) and a means for transmitting the rotation of the inertia wheel to the pump. The device advantageously includes means for measuring the rotation speed of the wheel and a means (21) for disengaging the wheel (1) and the pump (2) for a speed lower than a given speed lower than the nominal rotation speed of the wheel. The invention can particularly be used for a space plane having a rocket engine in which the supply system includes at least one pump powered by a device of the invention and a means for operating said device, an in-flight plane. |
