A heating device for a slab is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the heating device for a slab comprises a preheating unit which accepts a slab for preheating the slab; a heating unit for heating the slab which is delivered from the preheating unit; a cracking unit for making the temperature of the slab delivered from the heating unit uniform; and a volume changing unit which is insertable into the preheating unit for changing the internal volume of the preheating unit.
