PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power factor correction circuit which can lessen a burden of ripples on an electrolytic capacitor to reduce the capacitance of the capacitor and to lengthen the life.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a power factor correction circuit. In the power factor correction circuit according to an embodiment of the present invention, a power factor correction unit includes an electrolytic capacitor and a film capacitor that are connected in parallel. A burden of ripples on the electrolytic capacitor is lessened to reduce the capacitance of the capacitor and to lengthen the life.
