The invention relates to a sliding bearing composite material with a substrate layer made of steel, an intermediate layer which lies on the substrate layer, and a bearing metal layer which lies on the intermediate layer and which is made of an aluminum alloy that is free of lead apart from impurities. The aluminum alloy contains 10.5-14 wt. % tin, 2-3.5 wt. % silicon, 0.4-0.6 wt. % copper, 0.15-0.25 wt. % chromium, 0.01-0.08 wt. % strontium, and 0.05-0.25 wt. % titanium. The silicon is present in the form of particles in the bearing metal layer in a distributed manner such that the percentage of the area of visible silicon particles with a diameter of 4 mum to 8 mum in an area of the metal bearing layer is at least 2.5%, preferably at least 2.75%, with respect to said area. |
