PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the treatment or prevention of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in prematurely born babies, or for the treatment or prevention of other diseases related to the deficiency or dysfunction of a surfactant.SOLUTION: A reconstituted surfactant includes a lipid carrier, a polypeptide analogue of the native surfactant protein SP-C, and a polypeptide analogue of the native surfactant protein SP-B. Also, the pharmaceutical composition and the use of the same for the treatment and prevention of RDS and other respiratory disorders are provided. |
