PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method that generate and display a variety of graphical codes based on signals representing a variety of values of exercise metrics from a fitness equipment unit.SOLUTION: A controller generates a graphical code based upon values for exercise metrics received from a fitness equipment unit 402. In response to input through an input, a processing unit directs a code capture device to capture the image of the generated graphical code 404. The captured graphical code is translated to the values for the exercise metrics 406. The translated graphical code is displayed for review by the person who had completed the exercise session 408. The translated graphical code is stored 410. The translated graphical code is used to adjust the overall exercise routine or fitness program 412. A portable electronic device displays the adjusted exercise routine or program on display 414. |
