<p>Provided is a manufacturing method for a molded resin product with a metal insert in which a composite of inorganic fibers and a thermoplastic resin is embedded in a mold, and molten metal is injected into and integrated inside the mold. The inorganic fibers are preferably carbon fibers. The metal is preferably an aluminum alloy or magnesium alloy. Preferably, the amount of fibers in the composite is from 10 to 70 wt%, the thickness of the portion of the composite contacting the metal is 25 mm or less, a through-hole or groove is created in the composite in advance, and the metal has the shape of a rib or a boss. The present invention thus provides a manufacturing method for a molded resin product with a metal insert that is free of strain and interface defects.</p> |
