PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-core fiber connector with a multi-core fiber built therein for connecting mutual multi-core fibers in the same way as conventional optical fibers.SOLUTION: A ferrule 3b is rotated with respect to a ferrule 3a on the same axis with positions of cores 11a and 15a as a center. In this case, rays of light are made incident from either the core 11a or 15b, and the rays of light are detected from the other. At the same time, the rays of light are made incident from at least either the core 11b or 15b, and the rays of light are detected from the other. The detection of the rays of light of the cores 11b and 15b is to monitor alignment of the surrounding mutual cores with respect to the central core. That is, the ferrule 3b is rotated with respect to the ferrule 3a in a state that the rays of light are made incident so that a site with the highest detection strength equals to a position where the positions of the mutual surrounding cores 11b and 15b are made coincident. |
