The present invention concerns an anti-ligature device. More particularly, but not exclusively, this invention concerns an anti-ligature device for use in, for example, institutions housing vulnerable people. An anti-ligature device comprises a first part 12, the first part being configured for mounting to a solid surface. The device further comprises a second part 14, wherein the second part provides a planar mounting surface for a bracket. The first part and second part are attached by a mechanical engagement between a plurality of formations, such as clips 22, the formations arranged such that the first part and second part separate should the formations experience a separation load exceeding a fixed amount. |
