PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional expensive hardening area measuring apparatus including an eddy-current type non-contact detector, which requires long measurement time.SOLUTION: A hardening area measuring apparatus includes: marking means 1 for forming a plurality of reference lines M at fixed intervals on a surface of a workpiece W; pitch measuring means 3 for measuring a pitch between the reference lines after partially hardening the workpiece W with the reference lines M formed thereon; and area detection means 4 for detecting a hardening area A on the basis of a measurement result of the pitch measuring means 3. In measuring the hardening area A of the workpiece W partially hardened, equipment cost and measurement time can be reduced. |
