PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing method and device.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes the steps of: generating a binary image with a first scale smaller than an original scale of an image; detecting at least one character string in the image on the basis of the binary image with the first scale; generating a binary image with a second scale larger than the first scale; calculating similarity between a corresponding part in the binary image with the first scale and a corresponding part in the binary image with the second scale, with respect to each character string, to remove a character string with similarity lower than a predetermined level, as noise; performing optical character recognition on the corresponding part in the binary image with the second scale, with respect to one or a plurality of unremoved character strings, to decide inclination of a character in the corresponding character string; and deciding inclination of the image on the basis of the decided character inclination. |
