PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-stroke figure direction detection device capable of detecting a direction of a figure drawn with a single stroke.SOLUTION: A single-stroke figure 1000 is drawn on a recognition area 100 (Figure 15(a)). First, a figure area 100' in which the single-stroke figure 1000 is inscribed and that consists of four sides A, B, C, and D is extracted (Figure 15(b)). Then, the side A that is closest to an original point P of a gesture detection range is selected (Figure 15(c)) and, if the original point P is included in the figure area 100', a direction of an arrow Y2 that is opposite to the direction of an arrow Y1 heading for the side A closest to the original point P is defined as the direction of the single-stroke figure 1000 with respect to the original point P (Figure 15(c)). If the original point P is not included in the figure area 100', a direction of an arrow Y3 heading for the side A closest to the original point P is defined as the direction of the single-stroke figure 1000 (Figure 15(d)). |
