Extract of grapevine obtained by extracting the grapevine from methanol and then fractioning by solid/liquid extraction using successive eluents including water/methonal (80 vol.%/20 vol.%), water/methanol (60 vol.%/40 vol.%), water/methanol (40 vol.%/60 vol.%) and methonal, is claimed, where each fraction is isolated and the extract excludes resveratrol and viniferin. An independent claim is included for a plant protection composition comprising the extract of grapevine and at least one compatible agent formulation.
