A braking device capable of reducing the high stresses conveyed by the ropes to the anchorages in case of violent jerking caused by possible falling of the loads attached to the free ends of ropes, uses a first metal dissipation device with friction rope and a second ductile metal dissipation device fitted on the same rope as the first one. The second dissipation device is a cylinder for instance made of a metal alloy or other material, or is a coating of a rope section common to both dissipation devices. The brake starts working when the load generates a jerking of a certain entity in the rope to which it is hooked. The dissipation device with friction rope is the first to come into operation, trailing the limit stop connected to the free end of the friction rope against the edge of the tubular element, compressing the element against the drilled plate crossed by the friction rope while the rope moves forward. |
